A Self-Taught Sensation

Without a formal coach, she honed her skills by watching YouTube videos and practising diligently at local skateparks. Her favourite spot? Mia’s dedication is evident in her daily routine. After school, she and her mum, Inae Twine, often travel from their home to various skateparks, ensuring Mia gets ample practice time. This unwavering commitment has been instrumental in her rapid progression and success.

Beyond the Skatepark

Mia’s influence extends beyond skateboarding. Having lived with epilepsy since infancy, she has become a youth ambassador for Epilepsy WA, using her platform to raise awareness and inspire others facing similar challenges. Her resilience and advocacy have made her a role model for many .

In recognition of her achievements, Mia was named a finalist for the 2024 WA Junior Sports Star Award, highlighting her impact both on and off the skateboard.
