Breaking news from the heart of the Himalayas! Australian Alpinist Allie Pepper has just achieved a remarkable feat by scaling Mt. At 48 years old, Allie, hailing from the Blue Mountains west of Sydney, has undertaken the ambitious challenge of summiting all 14 of the world’s 8,000-meter peaks within a three-year timeframe. Her successful ascent of Mt. Annapurna, accomplished at approximately 12:05 PM last Sunday (14th April), was made possible with the support of her climbing partners, Mingtemba (Mikel) Sherpa and Ngima Wanadak Sherpa, under the coordination of Expedition organisers, Seven Summit Treks.

This marks Allie’s third triumph since commencing her project in July 2023, following her successful summits of Broad Peak in Pakistan and Manaslu in Nepal. With 11 peaks remaining on her agenda, Allie’s next challenge will be Makalu (Nepal 8,481m).

If Allie accomplishes her mission, she will join a select few who have conquered all 14 of the world’s 8,000-meter peaks without supplemental oxygen. Currently, only two individuals have achieved this remarkable feat, which took them 16 years. Allie’s project, titled “The Respect Above the Clouds 14 Peaks No O2,” underscores her commitment to this extraordinary endeavour.
