Brooke pushed her mental and physical limits to the extreme by running an incredible 1,600km across Western Australia. What we’re dying to know is how she prepared herself for such a monumental challenge in WA’s rugged conditions!?
Join us to find out the ins and outs of Brooke’s incredible feat.
Mentally, Brooke feels her entire life shaped the resilience needed to endure this kind of adventure. Overcoming childhood trauma cultivated an unbreakable mindset. Cold plunges and the mantra “Just One More” helped her power through every challenging situation, knowing it was temporary and greater things awaited.
Physically, Brooke’s training was intense – 40-50 hours per week including 3 weight sessions, 145km of running, endless recovery work, and a mountain of food. But it was about more than physical preparation. Throughout the training and run itself, she rediscovered confidence, found purpose, and healed internal struggles by committing to the plan and vision.
Brooke loved waking up every single day with a strong purpose and seeing her blue tree on her bedside table each morning reminded her of her ‘Why’. However one of Brooke’s favourite moments was pushing through torrential storms in Jurien Bay on day 23, just 2 days after battling food poisoning! Despite the rain, wind, hail, lightning and hills, she ran an incredible 60km in under 6 hours marking a personal best! As she said, “If I don’t laugh and have fun, I’ll cry!”
Pleasantly surprised, Brooke never expected the overwhelming support she received from people across the nation. The care packages, notes, donations and words of wisdom from strangers who witnessed her journey were “absolutely wild” , explains Brooke and deeply touching.
After the run, Brooke recovered (of course) with nothing other than an EPIC Italian feast, lots of sleep each night, and even jumping right back into another marathon just two weeks later!.. Now that is absolutely wild! More challenging though was the adjustment back to society after so much solitude on the road Brooke explained.
The experience has motivated Brooke to an even bigger goal. Can you believe it? – Running 14,080km around Australia in 2025 to raise $1 million for mental health. With Rowan supporting again as crew, she’s deep in preparations to “break the female world record and spark conversations even further.”
The Australia Run in 2025 is called “JUST ONE MORE” – Brooke’s motto. She will embark on running 80km’s a day for 180 consecutive days. Aiming to kick off on March 2nd from Perth, City Beach – The exact spot that she finished last time. Brooke will then Run a lap of Australia and finish back in the exact spot. She has big plans for documenting this even bigger adventure all across social media, YouTube and even featuring an exclusive BTS (behind the scenes) inside the “JUST ONE MORE” community. Bringing communities together all around Australia, Brooke will engage with run clubs throughout towns & cities for a ‘JUST ONE MORE’ – Run with Brooke Day” as she comes through each state.
It is going to be ELITE.
It is going to be EPIC.
It is going to be 10x the last run.
Brooke’s message is simple but powerful: “Go ‘Just One More’ even when you think you can’t…you will unlock a new level of courage, resilience and confidence.” Her incredible 1,600km feat proved that mindset makes the impossible possible. As she conquers her 14,080km Australia run, the world will be cheering her on, just one more step at a time.
